Relation to curriculumCompulsory modules for 6th semester students. This course provides students with the opportunity to practice and refine their teaching skills in a structured, simulated environment. It supports CPL-8 by enabling students to plan lessons, deliver instruction, and receive peer and instructor feedback—building their confidence and pedagogical competence. With its emphasis on competency-based teacher training and reflective practice, Microteaching emphasizes student-centered instruction, teaching effectiveness, and continuous improvement. By engaging in cycles of teaching, observation, and revision, students develop professional communication, classroom management strategies, and the ability to adapt their instruction to diverse learning needs—critical capabilities for their future roles as biology educators.

Module objectives/intended learning outcomesStudents (A) are able to examine and analyze approaches and 21st-century learning models (B), and design curriculum-based instructional tools including lesson plans, teaching materials, student worksheets, assessments, and instructional media in an innovative and creative manner through the use of ICT and analysis of video case studies available on the learning LMS (C), and present them in the form of accurately and thoroughly planned written documents (D).Students (A) are able to simulate limited teaching skill practices (B) through the use of ICT in accordance with the components of basic microteaching skills (C), and effectively present the outcomes of the simulation in the form of limited instructional videos (D).Students (A) are able to apply various ICT-assisted teaching strategies, approaches, models, methods, media, and assessment instruments (B) through integrated teaching skill simulations based on microteaching evaluation indicators in collaboration with lecturers and peers (C), and effectively present the results in the form of integrated instructional videos (D).
ContentThis course is designed to enable students to plan, develop, and practice effective and innovative learning activities through practice or simulation in order to directly train their basic teaching skills in a simplified classroom or instructional setting.
