Module objectives/intended learning outcomesUpon completing this course, students will be able to evaluate the objectives, functions, principles, and techniques of chemistry learning assessment.Upon completing this course, students will be able to design appropriate assessment and evaluation strategies for chemistry learning using both manual and digital approachesUpon completing this course, students will be able to analyze assessment instruments and evaluation results to develop effective follow-up action plans. 
ContentThis course is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary for conducting evaluations in chemistry education. Upon completing this course, students are expected to be able to:Develop test instruments based on various commonly used taxonomies in educational evaluation, along with appropriate scoring guidelines, assessment criteria, or rubrics;Design non-test instruments for chemistry learning in a valid and measurable manner, including rubrics for non-test assessments;Develop authentic assessment instruments;Demonstrate proficiency in conducting both quantitative and qualitative item analysis accurately;Analyze evaluation results and use them as the basis for formulating follow-up action plans;Prepare comprehensive reports on the outcomes of chemistry learning assessments; andEffectively utilize digital applications to address problems related to chemistry learning evaluation, demonstrating digital competence in gathering reliable information from credible sources.
