Module objectives/intended learning outcomesThrough problem analysis and literature review (C), students (A) are able to formulate criteria for selecting instructional media that align with the characteristics of the subject matter to solve chemistry learning problems in schools (B) accurately and measurably (D).Through the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method (C), students (A) are able to design and develop chemistry learning media by utilizing simple resources and/or ICT-based tools, including AI, AR, and VR, to enhance the quality of chemistry teaching (B), either collaboratively or individually (D).
ContentThis course explores the definition, functions, and uses of instructional media; the strengths and weaknesses of various learning media; the selection of instructional media based on the characteristics of the subject matter (senior high school chemistry topics) and learners (learning styles); as well as environmental-based media, virtual media, visual media, audiovisual media, and the evaluation of instructional media.
